Into the Woodlands
And welcome to my wonderland.
Model: Destini Gregory
MUA: Sarah Young
Photography: Kalhu Photography
I first met Destini and Sarah a couple of months back at a benefit runway show and we all immediately hit it off. So naturally, after getting stormed out twice while trying to get shoot going, we finally got together to shoot last week. The St. Louis finally decided to play nice and gave us a day of beautiful weather. So with good weather and a good group of people, and maybe a snake or too, were able to create some goodness.
Enjoy!

St. Louis Fashion Week
Fashion Week descended on the city this past week and thanks to Alive Magazine, I had the privilege of getting to capture everything on camera. Here are a few of the highlights from the night.
All I can really say is that it was an evening well spent and that it is nice to know that St. Louis can get its fashion scene on.

Dallas in Wandaland Pt. 1
Meet Dallas J and then meet her nails. After months of trying to make this happen, the creative force behind Dallas J Nails and I got together this past weekend and shot some promo pics for her nail design business. This girl is wicked talented with the nail art plus she's pretty sweet to get to know too. If you happen to live near the St. Louis area you need to check her out at 212 Salon on Locust.
Stay tuned for Pt. 2 of the shoot.

Natura
Spent the day scouting for an upcoming shoot and figured since it's been a while since I've posted, I might as well share what I'd found. This month has been all about the textures for me, I don't know what got me on this kick but I'm going to see where it takes me.

BTS: Album Artwork for Chills by Courtnie Henson
BTS Album Artwork for Chills by Courtnie Henson from Kalhu Jay on Vimeo.
So I've had to keep this quiet for the past couple of months but it's finally here, and I can share it with y'all aaand you can enjoy some awesome music. An old friend from high school approached me about doing some artwork for a song she was putting together awhile ago and of course, I said yes.
It's been hard keeping it quiet, but now that the song's dropped you just need to hear it and you'll understand why I was hooked.
Enjoy
